Free Chess Sets for All (Schools)

10.12.34am UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 19th Feb 2008

At a recent meeting in the House of Commons, Holloid Plastics Ltd made a generous offer to encourage interest in chess. They agreed to sponsor 250,000 chess sets to be distributed to schools throughout England. The distribution will be made in parcels of 10 chess sets on a "first come first served" basis.

Lib Dem MP for Carshalton and Wallington, Tom Brake, is encouraging local schools to take advantage of this offer.

Tom said, "Chess is a cracking game and will entertain you for a lifetime if you take it up at school."

If any school would like to receive these free cheese sets then please contact Tom Brake's constituency office urgently on 020 8255 8155.
