Brent's Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather and the High Commissioner of Jamaica opened the Ourstory Art Exhibition at The Gallery in Willesden Green.

Ourstory is a thought-provoking exhibition of paintings and sculptures that commemorates the 200th year of the passing of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act. The exhibition also celebrates UK's Black History Month and Jamaica's National Heroes Day.

Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said:

"It is fantastic to have a resource such as Willesden Library Centre making art accessible to so many people.

"I was honoured to be at the opening of the Ourstory exhibition. The sculptures and paintings are incredible and the exhibition will really make people think on the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade."
