Brake Backs Rainbow Trust

9.34.00am GMT Mon 2nd Jul 2007

The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides practical and emotional support to families when a child has a life-threatening or terminal illness and assists around 1,000 families across the country. The Trust currently helps around five families in the Carshalton and Wallington area.

Heather Wood, the Trust's Chief Executive, took Tom round Rainbow House where families can relax in a friendly homely atmosphere with all their needs catered for including meals. This gives families invaluable time together.

Tom said after his visit, "For families struggling with hospital stays and appointments and the pressures severe illness puts on every member of the family, the Trust's support helps families cope. The Trust deserves all the support it can get for its work."
