New Life for Teddington Post Office

1.48.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 7th Mar 2007

After complaints from residents about the poor quality of Teddington Post Office, Post Office managers have assured Vincent Cable MP that there will be a new, permanent Sub Postmaster and a refurbishment of the Office. The improvements are to be completed by end of May.

Vincent Cable said: "With all the cutbacks taking place in the Post Office Network, it is good news for Teddington that the Post Office will not just remain but be improved and permanently staffed.

"After the loss of Post Offices in Stanley Road and Kingston Road, there was a lot of pressure on the Teddington Office and I received complaints about the need for improvement. This is now to happen."
