Susan Kramer Says Government Should Play Its Part To Help Kingston PCT10.14.37am UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 31st Jan 2007 Liberal Democrat MP Susan Kramer has called on the government to help Kingston PCT to ensure local people get decent care. Susan Kramer said: "The PCT has done well to put together an action plan to get its finances back in balance, but the Government must play its part and either wipe out old debts or allow them to be paid back over a long period so that local people can count on a quality health service. "Since the plans depend on a significant amount of routine surgery being done by specialist GPs rather than in Kingston Hospital, it will be crucial that there is excellent quality control. "We also need to be sure that Kingston Hospital is not undermined. We have been asking the hospital to reconsider its planned level of job cuts."
