Departure of Lorraine Clifton, Chief Executive of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trusts3.37.13pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 2nd Jan 2007 Commenting on the departure of Lorraine Clifton, Tom Brake, Lib Dem MP for Carshalton and Wallington said, "The timing could not be worse. With the Better Healthcare Closer to Home (BHCH) project having to undergo yet another re-invention following the Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt's u-turn, any interim Chief Executive will have to get up to speed immediately. Otherwise BHCH will lose all momentum putting St Helier Hospital at even greater risk."
