Tom Brake Celebrates Outstanding Teachers

Tom Brake is encouraging people in Carshalton and Wallington to help celebrate teachers, teaching assistants, and school governors within their community.

The goal is to nominate teachers in order to represent their schools at the 2007 Teaching Awards.

Mr Brake fully supports the awards. He said "Teachers, teaching assistants and school governors are in the front-line. They help our children grow and provide them with the knowledge and many of the skills they need to face the challenges of modern life. Their efforts and achievements should be acknowledged."

Any individual can chose to nominate a teacher by visiting the Teaching Awards website at www.teachingawards.com.
