Davey Delight at Kingston Odeon Subtitles4.34.31pm UTC (GMT +0000) Mon 30th Oct 2006
Edward Davey, Liberal Democrat MP for Kingston and Surbiton, has praised Kingston Odeon for being voted 3rd in the country for providing Deaf Access to the cinema. Kingston Cinema goers are able to enjoy various subtitled movies, from costume drama Marie Antoinette to the latest chick flick, The Devil Wears Prada. "Going to the cinema is a lot of fun, and I am delighted that Kingston Odeon is providing greater choice to movie fans who are deaf or hard of hearing. "The Kingston Odeon have done a great job putting in the equipment to make this possible, but we shouldn't forget the efforts of the Kingston team in publicising the subtitled shows. "I hope that more cinemas will start to consider access to the cinema for all movie fans."
