CSV 'Make a Difference Day' Arrives Early

1.00.16pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 20th Oct 2006

Local residents, Councillors and Tom Brake, Liberal Democrat MP for Carshalton and Wallington, are joining forces on Saturday 21st October 2006 to get their hands dirty and carry out a litter pick on a stretch of the River Wandle.

The litter pick has been organised both as part of Community Service Volunteers 'Make a Difference' Day which is on the 28th October (but events can be organised a week either side of the official day) and also as part of the Liberal Democrats' Green Action Week.

Any residents who come equipped with their own wellies are welcome to join the event. Volunteers are meeting at 1pm at the junction of Papermill Close and Mill Lane in Carshalton and will be working their way down the river bank until 3.30pm.
