Liberal Democrat-led boroughs have shown they are leading the way on environmental sustainability in London, scooping five out of ten awards at this year's Sustainable Transport Awards ceremony, run by Transport for London. The Awards won by Lib Dem boroughs included 'Best Council Travel Plan' won for Sutton Council and 'Sustainable Transport Borough of the Year' won by Islington Council. Lib Dem led Lambeth and Kingston upon Thames also picked up awards for their sustainable travel campaigns.
