Sarah Teather Presents her 1st Annual Report4.53.21pm GMT Mon 29th Nov 2004
Brent East MP and Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for London Sarah Teather has produced a 1st annual report for her Brent East constituents. The report features a range of Sarah's work from her 1st year as the MP for Brent East including her work to Save Brent's Post Offices, tackling the problems of Brent's Housing Crisis and her commitment to get Brent cleaned up. Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said: "It is a pleasure to be able to send to the residents of Brent East my first annual report. I can't believe how quickly the first year has gone by. Local issues were my priority during the by-election and remain so. I have reported hundreds of cases of dumped rubbish, abandoned cars and graffiti to the Labour-run Council for them to clean up. In Parliament I will continue to campaign to get more police on Brent's streets to tackle crime. "My aim is to produce a report like this every year, so that I can keep in touch to let people know what I am doing locally and the work I am doing in Parliament. In my report you can find details of my six monthly surgeries and details of how to contact my office in Willesden Green." Sarah Teather MP's 1st annual report will be stuffed in envelopes and delivered by Liberal Democrat volunteers to 40,000 households in Brent East.
