Simon warns that the latest tube derailment is doing damage to its reputation

Commenting on the Tube derailment on the Central Line earlier today, Liberal Democrat London Mayoral candidate, Simon Hughes, said:-

"Like many others I am sad and troubled to hear there has been a further derailment on London Underground. This is the latest in a line of derailments that is doing damage to the reputation of our Tube system as one of the safest in the world.

"The public will expect an urgent investigation and full information about the cause of this latest incident. Tube users need to know whether all recommendations following the Chancery Lane derailment have been acted on and safety systems put in place.
